I have sit-on-my-butt disease!

Yes, I said it...... As I am sitting here post-Easter stroll and enjoying a cup of coffee.

I spend a lot of time daily on my butt!  Sitting.

And yet........my role as lifeguard sometimes requires many hours sitting in a chair, watching.   Prepared to respond.
And the sit-on-my-bottom disease is perpetuated.

The result—- I have become extremely lazy.   It is easier to sit.

The bigger result...... I have gained some extra weight, and my blood pressure is border line hypertensive.

The good news.... I know how to fix it!!!

This past year, I went through the PN Nutrition Nutrition Coaching Program.    The goal was to obtain a better understanding of nutrition and applications to assist my athletes preparing for their races.  At the time, my goal was to finish the program.

Now, I am seizing the opportunity to go through the process and learn while applying to build a better relationship with food.
Currently, I do not like my squishy body.
I have a significant amount of weight to lose.
And through this, I am going to focus on the dynamics of eating and movement and regain my love for training and racing.

What I really like about PN Nutrition is that it teaches balances between the macronutrients Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats in meal prep and eating throughout the day.   Instead of looking at food as ‘bad’ and eliminating it, finding the balance in choosing to eat.  In other words, learning how to create a better relationship with food and in turn, self.

To start, I went shopping and filled my fridge with lots of colorful fruits and veggies.
I cooked steel-cut oats, so I can have overnight oats in the morning.
And I took magnesium, to help with my joint health.

Tomorrow, my journey continues......
care to join me?
